Love and the Day of Adversity

I woke with this scripture ringing in my ears..Pro 17:17 A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity. So here I am on this love journey....... The Lord is speaking to me as I open my eyes this morning, Denise a friend loves at all times! The next part is what I was hearing over and over, A brother is born for adversity...hummm? Matthew Henry's commentary says this about this scripture: No change of outward circumstances should abate our affection for our friends or relatives. But no friend, except Christ, deserves unlimited confidence. In Him this text did receive, and still receives its most glorious fulfilment. So to me this scripture is saying, Denise i want you to love all people all the time! Not your conditional love but My love...and I want you to know that you are to stick with this love for others when it is hard and goes against what you think...I do not want to be a fair weathered friend do you? I love where Matthew Henry says, "No friend, but Christ deserves unlimited confidence! I am not finished chewing this...Lord teach us to love all the time like you do.....What are your thoughts as you read this?
